Cornwall Museums
The Ronathahon:ni Cultural Centre is located on Cornwall Island. It is an educational centre focused on the people of the Iroquois Confederacy. Ronathahon:ni hold numerous workshops, exhibits, programs and events on site. It is located on the beautiful St. Lawrence River. The staff of Ronathahon:ni provide educational presentations, dance presentations and museum tours. Picnicing and small family camping is available upon request.
Built in 1834 Cornwall's old jail is now open for tours including cell blocks, common areas and the old exercise yard.
Each room in this museum reflects a particular period in the history of Cornwall. The kitchen for instance is circa 1900, while the dining room reflects Cornwall in 1950 or so. Tours take visitors through the rooms and a repository of documents and photos are available for geneaology or general interest.
